Procurement Strategies
At TPES, our goal is to offer a versatile service that is precisely crafted to meet each client's unique needs. We regularly collaborate with clients in various capacities: whether it's as their mechanical and electrical consultant within a composite design team, directly commissioned by the client, or working alongside contractors on design and build or develop and construct projects.
Strategies Explained
01
The 'Best Fit' Option
When a procurement strategy is yet to be determined, our role is to assist clients in identifying the most suitable option by considering key objectives such as in-house expertise, time, cost, quality, flexibility, risk, responsibility, and complexity. We collaborate closely with clients to ensure that the chosen approach aligns seamlessly with their overarching goals and requirements, providing tailored guidance every step of the way.
02
A Formal Analysis
In cases where there's ambiguity regarding the preferred procurement strategy for individual projects, we conduct a formal analysis to provide clarity. Within this analysis, we prioritize "buildability" considerations to determine the most suitable approach. This involves thorough examination of aspects such as prefabrication for both building and services, flexible service provision to accommodate future modifications, off-site preassembly including packaged plant rooms, modular design for both buildings and services (both permanent and decant structures), and the integration of external pods for services/access extensions to existing buildings. By meticulously evaluating these factors, we ensure that the chosen procurement strategy aligns seamlessly with project objectives and constraints, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness throughout the process.
